Privacy policy

Who is responsible

This website is operated by the owner of twitchstorm.com, the controller of any personal data processed through it. You can reach us through our contact form.

What we don’t do

TwitchStorm has no user accounts, comment sections, newsletters or contact forms on this domain. We don’t run analytics, advertising trackers or social-media plugins, and we don’t set cookies of our own. The search box works entirely in your browser — what you type is not sent to us. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn’t contact Google or other third parties.

Hosting and Cloudflare

Like any website, our servers receive technical data when you load a page: your IP address, the page requested, date and time, browser and device type, and the referring page. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., which processes this data to deliver pages quickly and to protect the site against attacks and abuse; Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies for that purpose. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for a short period for the same reasons. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process data outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Amazon affiliate links

“Check price” and similar links go to Amazon. We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (see our affiliate disclosure). Nothing is sent to Amazon while you browse TwitchStorm; only when you click such a link does Amazon receive your visit together with our affiliate tag, and Amazon may set cookies to attribute a purchase. That processing is Amazon’s responsibility under Amazon’s privacy notice. We only receive aggregated reports (e.g. number of items ordered), never your identity.

Links to other websites

We link to other sites, such as Twitch, YouTube, X, TwitchTracker, our sister sites HLPLANET and TwitchGFX, and the sources of each gear list. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

Information about players and creators

Player and creator pages contain publicly available information: names, gear, PC specifications, public Twitch statistics and links to public channels, together with the sources it was compiled from. If you are featured and want something corrected or removed, contact us through our contact form and we will update or remove it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live. Because we don’t run accounts or analytics, in practice we hold no personal data about visitors beyond the short-lived technical logs described above.

Changes

We update this policy when the way the site works changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
